Positive: Good location Negative: This property is a good option for younger people, students, or those who are looking to save a lot of money. The listing is simply misleading - it stated that I would have my own bathroom, but I didn't. The bathroom is communal, one for shower and one for toilets. When I arrived I left my suitcase in the room - which was simple and on the modest side - and I don't have a problem with that but I was surprised not to see a bathroom. I went to walk around the floor and take a look, then I stepped inside the only bathroom available to wash my hands - and immediately walked out of it. Things were pretty bad: dirty towel handing on the wall, the smell was awful, I got back to the room, grabbed my suitcases, left, and booked myself another hotel for the night - a much more expensive hotel in the area. I ended up not staying at MRE at all. First I was confused, I thought it was my mistake to not read the description of the place, but then when I had a chance to review the listing, I saw that it clearly states "Comfortable Accommodations: MRE Goldsmith Polanco in Mexico City offers family rooms with private bathrooms". I understand offering a budget friendly option, but you cannot lie to people about private bathrooms when they aren't. If I was younger, maybe a college student, I would brace myself and would have stayed there, but I'm in my mid-thirties and way too old to be sharing a bathroom with strangers. This is a misleading listing, and everyone should beware. Also, just to clarify, I love Mexico, I have traveled A LOT through Mexico, I never had a problem with a simple place, and I often love them. But I would not have booked this, had I know about the accommodations as they are.

I don't want to say goodbye to them, because I won't see them again. Positive: The hotel owner seems to believe that an automated system can handle everything, from check-in, accommodation, and renewals to check-out and even staff management… so their employees… I don't know if they realize that hotels are a service industry, and interactions with people require some human emotion; unexpected and incomprehensible stories would happen. Negative: Regardless of whether it makes sense or has any basis in reality, they always manage to bring up charges or fines at times that are advantageous to them during your check-in or check-out, which is astonishing. Whether it's check-in or check-out, when you need them, you can never find them, or they don't reply to messages for days on end… and when they need you, or to put it bluntly, when they need your money, generally at your critical time, be careful…

Bueno, bonito y barato Positive: La ubicación está increíble a media cuadra de Masaryk. La información muy clara para la llegada y los dos baños (1 completo 1 medio) ayudan a que no tengas que esperar. Negative: Solo había una cobija muy delgada y para el frío de la cdmx no fue suficiente, el cuarto se ve muy descuidado en pintura.
